Berlin is an art collective from Antwerp composed of theater-trained Yves Degryse and Caroline Rochlitz, and video artist Bart Baele. In the “Hollocène” series begun in 2003, the group developed a documentary approach to create original portrayals of cities. After Jerusalem, Iqaluit (an Inuit town in Northern Canada) and Moscow, they chose Bonanza, a small village in Colorado. Mixing an interview-based script and videos, the play delves beyond the idyllic surface into a society weighed down by gossip and resentment.
