Pierre-Yves Macé  is a young composer with a curious mind, embracing both “serious music” and experimental approaches to rock and electronics, plus non-musical art forms.

Segments et Apostilles features solo parts recorded, reprocessed and introduced into the composition which the instrumentalists then perform, almost in dialogue. Similar dialectics produce tangible sound in Song Recycle, recycling a cappella vocals – an eclectic and surprising selection of YouTube excerpts, transformed and accompanied by the composer/pianist. This technique is taken to a different level with Song Recital where the ensemble and voice reproduce the electroacoustic rendition of the original material.
