In Min Tanaka’s practice, influenced by the teachings of Tatsumi
Hijikita, the body fully partakes of its mental and sensory environment, exploring the relationships between man and nature. Each performance of Locus Focus is improvised, and the present is treated as a constant process of transformation. Blending the contemporary and the traditional, his art ultimately expresses a quest for origins.
