East Side Story

Seven artists working with video and film attest the diversity of Croatia’s art scene today. Martinis, Stilinov and Ivekovic are pioneers who started working during the Soviet era, while Grubić, Kulunćić, Maljković and Polkaj are part of a younger generation and confront the legacy of modernism and utopia. They all develop committed art forms in a culturally and politically complex context.
