Belgian director Guy Cassiers has been famous for weaving elements from cinema, television and visual arts into his plays. Following his adaptations of Robert Musil and Malcolm Lowry, Coeur ténébreux (Dark Heart) is his take on Joseph Conrad’s masterpiece Heart of Darkness.
The play highlights Cassiers’ directing skills, with a brilliant solo performance by Josse De Pauw.
