Toshiki Okada’s work combines dance and theater, finding its inspiration in the traditions of Brecht and Oriza Hirata, as much as on the streets of Tokyo. With his company chelfitsch, Okada revisits one of his favorite subjects, cheap labour, in three stories about the layoff of a temp worker. The play captures the uncertainty of a whole generation.
