Soapéra is born of the collaboration of Dominique Figarella, a painter, and Mathilde Monnier, a choreographer. They create a hybrid opera where painterly tools are used as a basis for movement, and where choreographic gestures recall the movement of brushes on a canvas. Decomposition, reframing, displacement are essential forces driving the piece.
