Founded in Antwerp in 2003, the art collective Berlin creates hybrid works combining documentary practices and video installations. After the “Holocene” series which drew portraits of cities, they chose the Zollverein in the Ruhr region, an industrial site turned cultural venue and a symbol of the region’s renewal. Their multi-screen installation shows the real estate interests underpinning the project, mixing fiction and reality.
