True mixes dance and multimedia technologies to question the stability of everyday sensations. A Chaplin-like figure, Tsuyoshi Shirai handles ordinary objects as if they were the center of some tactile microcosm. With visual aesthetics reminiscent of video games, true offers an invigorating exploration of the way perceptions structure reality.
