Flemish director Guy Cassiers brings to the stage Malcolm Lowry’s cult novel. Set in Mexico on the Day of the Dead in 1938, it tells the story of a British consul’s self-destructive quest for authenticity. Guy Cassiers uses music, video and lighting to accompany the actors’ work in what Malcolm Lowry described as “a drunk Divine Comedy”.
