Nauzyciel’s version of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar explores the capacity of words to change the course of history, as in Ordet. Viewing history as a palimpsest where eras echo one another, this vision of Brutus’ revolt is rife with references to Elizabethan culture and icons of 1960s America, reflecting on popular culture and practices of “storytelling” in politics.
