Karlheinz Stockhausen gave the Festival d’Automne some of its most memorable moments.
The program here features his seminal electronic work Gesang der Jünglinge (1956), one of the first performances of Glanz, the tenth hour of his “day cycle” Klang, and Orchester-Finalisten from Mittwoch, from his grand “seven day cycle” Licht.
