A concert presented during the European Cultural Season in France (1st of July- 31st of December)
The final concert in the Gerard Pesson cycle explores an essential aspect of his work and the relationship with classical tradition and repertoire. With Ravel and Skryabin providing a source of inspiration, he has composed restrained, abstract and striking pieces, such as Chants Populaires (to a text by Philippe Beck) commissioned by the Festival and Accentus Ensemble.

On 11 November at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, the Festival d'Automne is dedicating a concert to Joséphine Markovits. In her memory, the Ensemble Intercontemporain and the Ensemble L'Instant Donné will perform works by Claude Vivier, Olga Neuwirth, Gérard Pesson, Pierre-Yves Macé and Arnold Schoenberg. All proceeds from the ticket sales are donated to the Association for ALS Research.
