Brice Pauset has a great interest in the pre-classical period;  the inspiration for his Exercices du Silence came from the letters of Louise du Néant, born into an aristocratic family and whose mystical experiences were some of the most radical of the 17th century.
A subtle sense of disorientation conjures up feelings of both ecstasy and suffering, expressing the incomprehensible and insidious violence of the modern world.
