Since 1994 this pioneer of spectral and electro-acoustic music has come back to the piano, ‘‘reproducing and transposing the innovative approach taken by inventive pianists in the 19th century in order to gain a deeper understanding of it’’. He uses the lied as a form to express the desire to transcend time, as a modern generator of memories linking the 19th and 21st centuries, and a reflection of ‘‘lunar and telluric poetry’’.
