In his Dragon trilogy saga, the center of creative gravity was China. Here, Robert Lepage casts himself in the art-imitating-life role of a Quebecois author summoned to Paris at the behest of the Opera Garnier. His commission? To write the libretto for a lyrical children’s work based on a fable by the famous Danish storyteller. But the real challenge lies in reconciling his task with the odd characters – including a dog – he encounters in Paris.

At the crossroads between musical and documentary, Lola Arias brings us a choral composition in which six female former inmates talk about their lives during and after incarceration. Their six intertwining destinies raise questions about the various forms of violence present in contemporary society, whilst exploring the margins of fiction and reality at the same time.
