Titles can be deceiving. The ‘Coda’, as envisioned by Tanguy in this production by the Théâtre du Radeau, is more a beginning than an ending. The beginning of a new way of perceiving myths and language. Tanguy conjures voices and shadows from the past – Dante, Kafka, Lucrèce, Gadda and Verdi, among others – as spectral presences in a movement whose purpose “is to lead us to a threshold” at which a new movement might take shape.
