Pascal Rambert
Born in 1962, Pascal Rambert is an author, director, producer and choreographer. Director of the T2G-Théâtre de Gennevilliers from 2007 to 2017, which he transformed into a national drama centre for contemporary creation, he was awarded the Prix du Théâtre by the Académie Française in 2016 for his body of work. His plays are presented at major international festivals and cultural venues, including Clôture de l'amour, which premiered at the Festival d'Avignon in 2011, has since been performed nearly 200 times and translated into over 20 languages. In 2019, he will adapt it into Taiwanese for the Metropolitan Theater in Taipei. In 2015, he staged his play Répétition at the T2G-Théâtre de Gennevilliers as part of the Festival d'Automne, for which he was awarded the Académie Française's annual prize for literature and philosophy. He is also the author of numerous plays, including Memento Mori (2013), De mes propres mains (2016), Libido Sciendi (2015), Argument (2016) and Une vie (2017), which he wrote for the actors of the Comédie-Française. In 2019, he will be invited as a professor-artist at Princeton University in the United States. In 2019, he will present Architecture at the opening of the Festival d'Avignon in the Cour d'Honneur of the Palais des Papes.

Six voices ring out, bringing with them the captivating stories of six men and women, aged between 30 and 60 years old, and who are currently serving prison sentences. Usually confined to within prison walls, their words find a stage on which to be heard at the Bouffes du Nord theatre.
