Néstor ‘Pola’ Pastorive
Argentine dancer and choreographer Nestor 'Pola' Pastorive began his training at the age of 9. After studying folk dance, he soon sought to discover other arts and techniques, and trained in classical dance, flamenco and tango. From the age of 15, he toured internationally with various companies. From 1993 to 2007, he joined Koki and Pajarín Saavedra's company Nuevo Arte Nativo. There he shared the stage with artists emblematic of Argentine culture such as Mercedes Sosa, Dino Saluzzi and Chango Farías Gómez, among others. In 2001, at the Festival de Música Popular de Baradero, the company was awarded the Prix de la Consécration for their body of work. In 2009, he set up his own company, presenting his work in Argentina and on various international stages. From 2002 to 2004, he regularly took part in the radio programme Danza al aire, broadcast live from the auditorium of Radio Nacional, and performed in various TV productions ranging from Ese amigo del alma by Lito Vitale to La noche del 10 by Diego Maradona.
