Marion Duval

After studying dance at the Conservatoire de Nice, Marion Duval took up theatre and clowning, graduating from the Manufacture in Lausanne in 2009. After her solo Hello (2010), she founded the Chris Cadillac company in 2011, with whom she has created Las Vanitas, Claptrap, Cécile, Avant la retraite (by Thomas Bernhard, co-directed and co-interpreted with Camille Mermet and Aurélien Patouillard) and most recently Le spectacle de merde. With Aurélien Patouillard, she also creates shows for the general public (Hulul, Farwest) and occasionally dances in shows by Marco Berrettini (IFeel3, Sorry do the tour, again!). In the cinema, she played in L'amour est un crime parfait by the Larrieu brothers (2014) and on television in A livre ouvert (2014) by Véronique Reymond and Stéphanie Chuat. A free spirit, Marion Duval's theatre laughs at its own conventions, ferociously questioning the unmentionable, the pathetic and the phantasmagorical in all of us.

TheatrePerformance

Certain encounters are life-changing. This piece is about Marion Duval's encounter with Cécile Laporte, an activist and author to whom she has decided to dedicate a show. The resulting 'truth-performance' is an inspiring one and enables us to embrace the unbearable complexity of the world in a light-hearted way.
