Émilie Rousset
Stage director for the John Corporation company, Émilie Rousset explores different forms of theatrical and performative writing in the creation of her plays, installations and films. She uses archive and documentary research to collect vocabularies and ideas, and observes movements of thought to imagine installations in which actors embody these words. A frequent guest at the Festival d'Automne in Paris, she created Rencontre avec Pierre Pica in 2018, transcribing her dialogue with a linguist, and then co-signed Rituel 4: Le Grand débat with Louise Hémon, staging the filming of a presidential debate. For the 2019 edition, she and Maya Boquet create Reconstitution: Le Procès de Bobigny, based on the famous trial led by Gisèle Halimi, and for the 2021 edition, she presents Les Océanographes, co-signed with Louise Hémon, which explores the archives of Anita Conti, the first female oceanographer and pioneer of maritime ecology. In 2022, she creates two new pieces programmed at the Festival d'Automne: Rituel 5: La Mort, co-signed with Louise Hémon as part of the Talents Adami program, and Playlist Politique.

Émilie Rousset, Maya Boquet Reconstitution : Le procès de Bobigny
In a highly original manner, Émilie Rousset and Maya Boquet bring to the stage testimonies and archives arising from a crucial event in the advancement of women's rights. Navigating a path between the fifteen performers, each spectator builds his or her own mental journey in relation to the subject and its ramifications in today's world, but also in terms of the very process of representation itself.
Émilie Rousset, Louise Hémon Rituel 5 : La Mort
Now it is the turn of Émilie Rousset and Louise Hémon to work with eight young performers as part of the Talents Adami Théâtre scheme, hosted for the tenth year running at the Atelier de Paris. With their habitual brand of humour, they dissect beliefs and representations linked to death, rituals and funeral-related practices.
